School Council
Sunset Canyon School Council supports the school's vision and mission through evaluation of programs and by providing feedback from all members of the community by:

Advising the principal

Evaluating programs/services/expectations (e.g. bullying, citizenship, dress code, etc.)

Providing feedback from the community

Enhancing parent/educator relations (review parent/student handbook)

Conducting the annual Parent Satisfaction Survey
-
Facilitating the development of the Compass Action Plan
-
Recommending tax credit expenditures
-
Considering and evaluating new initiatives programs
The School Council must include the following members:

School principal
-
Teachers
-
Support staff
-
Parents of students enrolled in the school
-
Community representatives who are not the parent of a child in the school
